This is a rare relic condition Special Naval Landing Forces (SNLF) helmet, missing its badge but retaining a lovely hand painted anchor around where the badge would have been. It appears like the soldier only wore a cherry blossom badge which was placed over the painted anchor, a very interesting choice. The SNLF ( Kaigun Tokubetsu Rikusentai) were the marine troops of the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) and were a part
